The strongest oak

The strongest oak of the forest is not the one that is protected from the storm and hidden from the sun. It's the one that stands in the open where it is compelled to struggle for its existence against the winds and rains and the scorching sun.

Quoting Napoleon Hill, I somehow can relate to what he said.

All things happen for a reason ... our existence, our failures, our pains and sufferings, our success. Sometimes you wonder, "why am I here?" We may never know the true reason. You wonder, "why am I planted into this family?" There is a purpose for you to be where you are, to be who you are and to be what you are.

By suffering, we learn to be compassionate. By our failures, we learn to be humble. By being successful, we are to share with others what we have ... we have to learn to be unselfish and generous in giving of our ourselves, of our time and share generously with those less privileged.
